Jallite Media

What is Jallite Media?

“We don’t just teach skills. We develop storytellers with purpose"

Jallite Media is a faith-rooted creative organization built on storytelling.
We help people find their voice and use it to spark healing, shift culture, and lead with light. Through every program, partnership, and production, we place story at the center because that's where transformation begins.
Founded by media professional John Johnson, Jallite blends industry excellence with meaningful intent. With over 23 years in media, education, and broadcast leadership, John has built platforms where storytelling becomes a tool for purpose, redemption, and cultural restoration. Our programs equip youth, returning citizens, and creative teams with the tools to tell stories that heal, inform, and uplift. Mentorship, leadership, and impact flow naturally from the stories we help them shape. With over 2,000 students mentored through story-first programs, Jallite Media is building creative ecosystems where skill meets purpose and purpose multiplies light.

Filming a scene

At Jallite Media, Every Program Begins with Real ExperienceWe don’t operate on theory—we build from what we’ve lived and what our communities have shown us. These programs weren’t created in a vacuum. They’re direct responses to real needs we’ve seen firsthand:
young creatives seeking direction, churches ready to expand their reach, and powerful stories still waiting to be told.
As we grow into new areas like reentry and restoration, one thing remains constant:
our commitment to restore, equip, and multiply light through storytelling.

Founder's Light

Light Reflexes

This team isn’t here by chance — they’ve been tested, trusted, and built for this.Every leader listed below brings more than credentials. They bring fire, focus, and faith. From classrooms to control rooms, courtrooms to creative studios, they’ve lived what they lead — and it shows. Some started as students. Now they’re shaping culture. Others have built movements, changed systems, or walked through storms to get here. I’m proud to stand beside every one of them. This isn’t just a leadership team.
This is what it looks like when purpose, excellence, and vision walk together

Foundational Light
Before Jallite had a name, the mission was already in motion.

This student project was produced through a paid media internship designed and led by John Johnson in partnership with CTE and his school, funded through a dedicated grant. The program combined storytelling, professional tools, and real-world expectations — all rooted in mentorship and purpose.Though this was before Jallite officially launched, it reflects the same heart, excellence, and structure now built into every Jallite program.> “The structure came later. The purpose was always there.”

Created during a grant-funded internship led by John Johnson through CTE.I led. They grew.
Now we lead together.

Voices Lit

These aren’t just testimonials — they’re milestones

These voices belong to leaders who started in the classroom and now help shape the vision. I’ve watched them grow, lead, and light the way forward—not just with talent, but with heart, discipline, and purpose. I’m proud of every one of them. This is what legacy looks like. Multiplied.John Johnson

Her journey began in the classroom—but today, she anchors the news and helps lead Jallite Media’s public voice.

📣 Full Reflection (Brittany’s Quote)“In honor of Teacher Appreciation Day I have to send a big thank you to my high school teacher Mr. John Johnson. Mr. Johnson saw my potential about 10 years ago and has continued to shape me into the journalist I am today. I never knew I could make my passion for storytelling into a career until I took his Radio/TV class at Dunbar Vocational Career Academy in Chicago. I’m forever grateful for your mentorship and guidance.”

“Mr. Johnson was the first person to invest in me as a filmmaker. He gave me a real opportunity — my first time on a real set, with real expectations. That experience confirmed everything I was dreaming about. He later awarded me the highest distinction he’s ever given a student — based on the Apple Master Pro standards he was certified in himself. That moment helped me believe I could really do this.”

Amari Maisonet – Film Ambassador“I was just a high school student with a passion for storytelling when I met Mr. Johnson. What started in his Broadcast Technology class changed everything. He taught me to refine my voice and take my creative work seriously. Years later, with his support and recommendation, I applied to the London Film School — a door that opened because someone believed in me early. That belief is what I now offer to others as a mentor.”Former Student | Film Ambassador, Legacy Mentorship Track

Kianna Goss – Emerging Leader“When I first stepped into Mr. Johnson’s class, I didn’t realize I’d found a lifelong mentor. Over the years, he’s helped me discover my voice, navigate my career, and stay connected to purpose. Today, I work in nonprofit communications and serve with Jallite to help guide the same kind of students I once was. That’s what this movement does — it brings people full circle.”Former Student | Director of Youth Affairs / Emerging Leadership
